Room 310, Wednesday Evening
Napolean had become more and more proficient at jumping onto high surfaces. Matilda had to find more creative hiding places for things he'd usually want to tear up or knock off ledges. She spent a good amount of the evening clearing away anything he might break and she felt like it was time for a break before getting back to studying. It had been awhile since she'd just sat down and listened to music. She lay back on her bed and just let the song play. Sure she listened to Vanessa Carlton. Shhh. Guilty pleasure. And she hopes she's singing quiet enough that no one hears it.

Room 310, Wednesday Evening
Matilda was sitting on her bed and finally giving herself a chance to think about the two red roses she'd gotten. The twins? It'd make sense in that case, probably just playing around sending red like that. Why else would there be two? But then again.. why no note? If it was so playful they'd have just signed it right?
Napoleon had already stolen one and made himself a bed of flower petals. She protected the other one and got it safely into a vase that she hoped was out of his reach. But in the case of a kitten, "out-of-reach" meant nothing.

Room 310, Before Detention
Matilda woke up feeling a horrible sinking feeling. Detention PLUS the twins becoming transparent... She patted Napoleon and left him the toys the twins gave him. She wasn't sure what to bring to detention, but she grabed her dictionary and a blank notebook. Copying from the dictionary was what she had to do last time she had a detention...

Matilda was having a grand old time distracting herself from studying by playing with some yarn and Napoleon. He seemed very intent on killing that string. He was actually making quite a mess tearing it apart, but she doesn't really mind. He's too cuteeee!

Tokyo, Japan, Christmas Day
Ranma and Setsuna had handwavely left for Kyoto yesterday after the whole group had finally caught up on their sleep.
This morning, Matilda had made a call to her mom to wish her Merry Christmas and she had pushed the twins into getting a tree for them to decorate. The house was so big she'd gotten lost a few times already.

Room 305, Before Classes
A note slips easily under door of the Hatachiin twins. She remembers the layout of the room and guides the letter to place itself on the desk. Unfourtuntly, right on top of Hikaru's laptop.The note was in her tidy Japanese script.

Thanks for taking me with you to the dance.
You never told me if Hikaru is mad at me.
If he is, then maybe all three of us sohuld have a talk and straighten things out.

Room 310, Tuesday Night
Matilda is trying to find the perfect place to arrange all her paper flowers. They line up pretty nicely and she smiles as she touches each one carefully. She sat down with the intention of writing to her mom. She knew about parents weekend and she missed her mom a LOT. But she also knew how much of a hassle it would be for her to have to come. She writes as convincingly as she can to see if she can save her mom the trip.
Hey Mom,
I'm sure you got the letter about Parents Weekend here at Fandom. I'm sure you want to come but I know you're really busy, especially when it's still so early in the school year and I'm not around to help you. It would be too much time to take off work if you came so please feel free to stay home if you're busy. I won't be upset if you can't make it. I understand that you have a lot of work to do.

She's looking a bit sad after writing it. She DOES want to see her mom but... she has way too much work to do for her to expect her to fly here and spend the weekend.

Room 305, Tuesday afternoon
A note slid under the pillow of Kaoru in the twin's empty room. The note was two pages, one in a strange looking language and the other in German. Both said the same thing.
//Dear Kaoru
I wrote the other note in the language I'm making. I'll tell you more about it later okay?
Maybe you could translate video games or something. That probably wouldn't get boring! And of course I'd tell you anytime I find a good book. Trust me, that if I DO find one I'll get so into telling people about it. A reasercher would be a fun job, that's a good plan. Maybe I'll do that on the side of my job being a professional good book finder huh?
That's sad about Ouran... Here everyone who's friends with you is that way because they like you so you never have to worry! And I was just thinking how amazing it would be to have my own library... just thinking about it... wow.
Didn't you say your mom was a fashion designer? There's that homecoming thing coming up! Maybe you could try to sell her dresses. Do you think she'd be happy?

Room 305, Friday Morning
Matilda knocked on the twins' door lightly, and, finding no one there, she slipped her letter under Kaoru's pillow. Today it's in Italian.
//Dear Kaoru,
I grew up a bit strangely too. I was left alone a lot as a kid and I started school late. Obviously that hasn't affected my learning but I never had friends until I started school so I'm really used to being alone. Not that I like it too much, just that it's not hard for me. Oxford does sound stuffy but she's been really set on it. Maybe I can talk about it more before it gets to that point.
So... your parents need you to continue the business? At least that means you can always work with Hikaru right? You won't have to be separated even after school ends. You can always be together.
What I want to be...? I have to find a job that won't get me bored. I need to always be learning new things. Do you think there's any job like that? If I really can't find one you'd hire me and just let me sit and read all day right? Hee. Just kidding.
So if you got to choose what would you want to do?

You better behave yourself! I know you're going to stir up trouble if you get too bored. Maybe we can figure out something fun to do? I don't really have many ideas but... I'll help you with something so long as it's not TOO destructive...

Room 310, Sunday Morning
Matilda was laying on her bed reading from a science journal online. She'd done all her homework the day it was assigned so at the moment she was just trying to get something to think about. She'd already read all the books she'd brought with her. She would need to head to the library soon. She'd left the door ajar just in case something exciting started happening outside.

Room 310, Sunday Evening
After a long day out on the lawn of Fandom, Matilda had finally gotten up to her room and begun to unpack. She meet so many people today! She decided her mom would probably want a least one letter to know she was having a good time here. After unpacking about 10 of her favorite books she found some paper and a pen. She sat down at her desk and scribbled away a note quickly and neatly.
Hi Mom,
I had a really good first day! You were right about it being a good school for me. Everyone is really nice and also really interesting! I met a new "Big Brother" John, he's a lot better than Mikey. Not that that's very hard to do. I met a girl named Lana who likes reading a lot just like me! And she lives on my floor too! I met this pair of twins who could talk at the same time without even trying. They're from Japan and their names are Hikaru and Kaoru. Kaoru is the one who likes a lot of languages like I do. I also met my roommate, Carmela and this really nice boy who was from a whole other world! Alphonse is 14, so he's almost the same age as me, and we're in the same grade too! I'm really looking forward to classes starting. It seems like everything here is so much different than a normal school. I miss you a lot but so far, I think it won't get too lonely.

She signed her name and folded the letter into the envelope. Afterward she plopped down onto one of the beds to read, awaiting her roommate or any other possible visitors. She left the door ajar just in case.
